Marvel Movies In Order List – Marvel Marathon

The Marvel cinematic universe has made a huge impact on cinema and fascinated billions of film geeks everywhere. It all started with Ironman in 2008 and is now expanding into the first canon Marvel TV show Wanda Vision in 2021, resulting in an almost all-time viewer record on the Disney+ platform. Despite the marvel studio’s biggest journey in the history of cinema, there are still millions of people who do not know what marvel movies are. If you’re one of those people, You’re in the right place. Let me give you the Marvel movies in order list.

First and foremost, it’s not a day marathon, you can’t just wrap up the whole franchise in one day. Darling, you have no idea how many films are in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Currently, The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) holds the title of the largest movie franchise in cinema history. You heard it right, and it will only get bigger.

Thus, given the statistics, if you have reached the decision to embark on the biggest cinema franchise, I am pleased to welcome you to the MCU.

Marvel Movies in Order List: Why You Should Be Attentive?

Every film in the MCU is interweaved, which means you have to watch all the movies to comprehend the progressing narrative. In fact, One of the interesting facts of MCU is, the studios have consistently been inserting Easter eggs in the film since the very first movie, Iron Man. If you don’t know what it means, an Easter Egg is simply a hidden element that may foreshadow the outcome or hint at the events from the next film which is what Marvel has done in these years with their films. Each movie in the franchise holds your attention throughout and keeps you spellbound. I can assure you that you won’t fly the cop from the MCU. Because guess what? It’s addictive.

Marvel Movies In Order Of Release (Including Shows) :

Said that I understand there are two approaches to watching marvel movies. The former is watching them in the timeline order and the latter is watching in order of release. You have your choices, but here’s what I would say as a huge Marvel fan. Watch the movies the way Marvel presented them. It’s best if you stick to the release date. It’s a special and authentic viewing experience, and also it is the best order to watch Marvel movies.   I know you might become a bit concerned about not keeping up with the events, but there’s no need to worry. This release date order is obvious and there’s no room for confusion in the MCU as opposed to the so-called X-Me…Ahem. Ahem.

It was the year 2008 that gave birth to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, under Kevin Feige’s supervision, with uncertainty over whether it would succeed. Turns out, the grand success of Ironman changed the trajectory, and the MCU has now become the biggest movie franchise.

1. Iron Man (May 2, 2008)

2. The Incredible Hulk (June 13, 2008)

the incredible hulk

While Marvel Studios is celebrating the major success of Ironman, The Incredible Hulk was released but failed to meet the standards. For the most part, I find it hard to say to what extent the events of this movie are actually recorded in the MCU timeline. However, the origin story of Bruce Banner makes it a must-watch movie in the MCU.

On the side note, Norton, who played Bruce Banner in the film, was later replaced by Mark Ruffalo in The Avengers.

wandavision marvel movies in order list

Wrapping up the Infinity saga, Marvel comes back with a new phase. WandaVision, which is a breath of fresh air in the MCU unlike what marvel had done earlier. Perhaps you’ll need to use words like “mystery,” “eerie,” and “ambiguity” while watching this show. Because, as soon as the show begins, you’ll be introduced to Wanda and Vision in a new sitcom world. You don’t ask questions or have answers, all you do is watch. And I know you’re going to have tons of questions. But, just wait and see, as the show will unravel everything as it goes along. Soon enough, your questions will be answered. As for the show,  Wandavision has been one of my most creative achievements for Marvel and therefore has received accolades at the Emmys. Their achievement in this show is nothing short of brilliant.

Despite its inconsistent screenplay, Falcon and the wintersoldier manages to entertain.

30. Eternals (November 5, 2021)

eternals marvel movies in order list

As a movie, Eternals is divisive and not everyone’s cup of tea. The film Eternals is very different from other superhero movies, with a completely new approach and direction. It is directed by Chloe Zhao, an Oscar-winning director. Have you ever seen an Oscar-winning director make a superhero film? Not until now. At its core, Eternals explores humanity and morality, illuminating a new philosophy behind superheroes. It is also mythological in some way, and it is one of the most beautifully shot marvel movies to date. The story revolves around the unsung immortal heroes of the earth known as Eternals, who have secretly existed on Earth for thousands of years; they reunite to fight the evil Deviants.

No. Please don’t care about the IMDb rating. A thousand number of the negative reviews stemmed from the fact that Eternals had a cast of people from various regions around the world. That triggered some people, and they slandered the film as a result. Although the low rating isn’t necessarily due to racist reviews, the film has a divisive nature, as I mentioned.

31. Hawkeye Series (Nov 24, 2021)

hawkeye

The show so far has a very grounded, street-level feel to it, which is kind of rare in MCU. But I’ve really enjoyed the show. Among the most interesting aspects of this show is it introduces Kate Bishop, along with other Marvel characters, including “Kingpin” while also exploring Clint Barton’s story.

Marvel Movies In Order of Timeline (Including Shows) :

I guess watching Marvel movies in chronological order isn’t that bad after all. It’s sometimes fun to rewind and watch Marvel movies in timeline order and see how the plots are interwoven in an obvious manner. As someone who is a big Marvel fan, I think watching the MCU movies chronologically is a good idea or kind of an experiment if you are planning to rewatch the entire saga for second time. However, For those of you who aren’t following me in the article, I still recommend “release order” for first-time viewing.  The order begins with

  • Captain America: The First Avenger – ( During the 1940s )
