Fans of the classic science fiction universe may now celebrate, as filming on Dune: Part Two has officially been completed, according to a recent Instagram post by Timothée Chalamet. The actor and his father pose in the photo set against a desert setting, and the caption reads, “DUNE TWO WRAPPED (with desert dad!! )”.

Based on the final half of Frank Herbert’s original 1965 novel, the planned sequel Dune Part Two will be a logical continuation of the original film.
Denis Villeneuve reprises his role as director, joined by several cast members from the original film, including Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Javier Bardem, and Dave Bautista.
Newcomers to the franchise including Christopher Walken’s Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV, Florence Pugh’s Princess Irulan, and Austin Butler’s Feyd-Rautha will all be a part of the sequel. While information about Dune: Part Two remains scant, Villeneuve has previously stated that the sequel will expand upon the premise of the original film and have a greater emphasis on “cinematic action.”
Dune: Part Two will be released exclusively in theatres on November 3, 2023.
