The tenth episode and finale of House of the Dragon, the prequel to the hit Game of Thrones series, has leaked online across torrents, two days before its premiere on HBO. Based on George RR Martin’s Fire & Blood, the drama begins 200 years before Game of Thrones and tells the story of how the House of Targaryen falls into civil war.
The final episode has already been leaked before the official release of the series. In a recent statement, HBO broke the silence and revealed that they have been made aware of the situation. They believe that the episode is leaked from a distributor in Europe, the Middle East or Africa, and they are currently attempting to resolve the situation.
“We are aware that the tenth episode and the finale of House of the Dragon has been posted on illegal torrent sites. HBO is aggressively monitoring and pulling these copies from the internet. We’re disappointed that this unlawful action has disrupted the viewing experience for loyal fans of the show, who will get to see a pristine version of the episode when it premieres Sunday,” HBO stated in a statement on The Guardian.
House of the Dragon has garnered 29 million viewers across platforms and regions around the world. The fantasy adventure drama has been renewed for a second season after being a major hit in its first episode.
