James Gunn And Peter Safran Are Working On A 10-Year Plan For Dc Universe

A 10-year plan for upcoming DC universe projects is being put together by James Gunn and Safran.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gunn had stated during a company meeting that he and Safran had been working with “some of the best minds in the industry” to develop a ten-year plan for upcoming DC entertainment projects involving Batman, Superman, and other DC characters.

Gunn said “The opportunity to make DC as great as it can be, and as it should be, that is the reason why I’m doing this job, because I know that Peter and I can do that.”

“We spent the past couple days with a group of some of the best thinkers in the industry, the best writers in the industry, starting to map out that eight to ten year plan of what it’s going to look like in theatre, in TV, in animation, across the board for these characters.”

With the extensive plan already being put in place, it appears that DC Studios may have found its Kevin Feige-like leaders since the two were only appointed new heads of DC Studios on November 1.

In the past, Gunn stated that he would be focusing on developing “the new DC Universe” instead of revisiting canceled or past projects, such as Legends of Tomorrow or the original Suicide Squad cut.

Jason Momoa, the actor who plays Aquaman in the film, said he is very excited to be working under Gunn and Safran, while Henry Cavill expressed his eagerness to engage in “long, long conversations with [Gunn]”.
