Jason Momoa’s Role As Aquaman Will End In Aquaman 2

As per THR’s report, Gunn is looking for Jason Momoa who plays Aquaman in the DC universe to run a new series within the same film universe. As opposed to Superman or Diana Prince, Lobo is an unsavory, smoking anti-hero within the DC comics, which is what kind of characters the Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker and his assistant studio head Peter Safran are keener to highlight in the coming years.

The actor will then play the bounty hunter from another planet called Lobo which is a character in which he has expressed his interest. This isn’t an official plan however it is something that is being studied says THR. The outlet also states that anything James Gunn and Peter Safran are doing is to benefit the DC universe.

Jason Momoa, who played Aquaman in the DCEU since Batman Superman Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016, the exact film that Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher joined the cast Momoa is described as a “hugely important player” in these latest DC plans.

The next time Jason appears in the role of Aquaman is scheduled to be on The Flash in June 2023. The film will follow Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom in theatres on December 25, 2023. The sequel is expected to have the iconic superhero form an unanticipated alliance to save Atlantis… as well as the planet.

Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom Cast:

The cast includes Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Temuera Morrison, Dolph Lundgren, Willem Dafoe, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, as well as Nicole Kidman. Additionally, Ben Affleck is rumored to reprise his role in the film as Batman in the film.
