Tom Holland is reportedly set to appear in at least six upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe projects including the new spider-man trilogy, according to the Daily Express.
Spider-Man Updates tweeted: “Okay, a hearing contract is done and signed, includes another spidey trilogy + some others. (don’t know the date or official announcement as of yet!) and also nothing on zendaya or others as of yet, (but they really want her back)!”
In addition to his solo Spider-Man projects, Holland’s web crawler is also anticipated to be used in Avengers 5 and 6, The Kang Dynasty, and Secret Wars. Moreover, it is reported that Tom Holland’s Spiderman will appear in the upcoming Disney+ MCU show Daredevil: Born Again, which is starring Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock.
Previously, the 26-year-old told GQ, “I might do Spider-Man 4, 5, and 6, finish when I’m 32, and never make another. I’m not sure what I want to do.”
In the same interview, Sony producer Amy Pascal expressed excitement about more Spider-Man with Tom Holland, “I’ve talked to him about doing, like, 100 more. I’m never going to make Spider-Man movies without him. Are you kidding me?”
Also, Pascal told Fandango: “This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie. We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies. Yes, Marvel and Sony are going to keep going together as partners.”
As for Feige, he reiterated Pascal’s comments, saying to The New York Times, “Amy and I and Disney and Sony are talking about – yes, we’re actively beginning to develop where the story heads next, which I only say outright because I don’t want fans to go through any separation trauma like what happened after ‘Far From Home’. That will not be occurring this time.”
Insiders are supporting this leak that the star has signed on for the new Spider-Man trilogy.
