Wednesday Director Reportedly Hired by Marvel Studios For A New Show

According to a new report, a key director from the Netflix series Wednesday may direct Agatha: Coven of Chaos for Marvel.

A WandaVision spin-off series starring Kathryn Hahn as the titular character is likely to debut in 2023. It is believed to be a nine-episode series to be produced by Marvel Studios. The previous reports suggest that the head writer/creator on both WandaVision and the spin-off show, Jac Schaeffer, may be scheduled to be the director for at least one episode.

In the past, Aubrey Plaza announced her participation in the show in a “really pivotal” role in the show. However, rumors suggest the possibility of a return to Westview as well as the break of the illusion Wanda Maximoff put on Harkness in the WandaVision finale.

In the words of Production Weekly, as reported previously partly via The Illuminerdi, Wednesday director Gandja Monteiro has been signed as director of Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

Monteiro is named as the director of the show, whereas the show’s creator Jac Schaeffer has been listed as the director/writer. The report from Illuminerdi indicated that Schaeffer was set to direct a portion of the show. Monteiro is expected to take over for at the very least one episode.
