Bong Joon Ho, the Oscar-winning director of Parasite, has announced his next film will be a science fiction film.

Warner Brothers Pictures revealed its first teaser trailer for the film, titled Mickey 17, that's based on the science fiction novel: Mickey7 by Edward Ashton.

The teaser offers a glimpse of Robert Pattinson in the titular role, revealing the movie's title for the first time.

According to the studio, Mickey 17 will be released worldwide on March 29, 2024.

The film also stars Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead), Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), Toni Collette (Knives Out), and Mark Ruffalo (Shutter Island).

Mickey7 is a novel based on a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. Every time there's a mission that is too dangerous-even suicidal-the crew turns to Mickey. When a particular iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with the majority of his memories intact. Following the death of six generations, Mickey7 realizes the terms of his contract and why it was the only colonial position unfilled when he took it.
