Doctor Strange 3 Is Reportedly In Development

Fans have been wondering how Stephen Strange's sequel fits in with the Multiverse Saga, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and Secret Wars.

Recent reports, however, have suggested that Benedict Cumberbatch's three-eyed sorcerer may be getting his own threequel before the Avengers get back together.

Insider Jason Kane (Greatphase) claims that Scott Derrickson will return to direct a new Doctor Strange movie before Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

In a tweet, Jason Kane (Greatphase) said: 2026 Doctor Strange 3, Kang Dynasty and Eternals Sequel. They are exploring moving Avatar 4 up to November or delay it back a year to give Secret Wars December instead of pushing it to May 2027."

Details of this report were bolstered by Big Screen Leaks, which read:  "Just heard this as well. Not sure about Derrickson returning though."

Cumberbatch has hinted that there would be "a lot more adventures I want to have with him" following the commercial success of Doctor Strange 2, saying, "He's got a really fascinating future."

Moreover, Charlize Theron hinted in October that she "has some work to do" with respect to her character Clea in Doctor Strange 2.

Some say that Marvel Studios may release its updated slate in the weeks leading up to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania, Kang the Conqueror's first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Let's see how it goes.
