The Boys Producer Says 'Season 4  Has The Most Disgusting Thing'

A producer on The Boys has hinted at even more diabolical doings in Season 4, saying that he saw "the most horrific thing" of his career while filming the season 4.

Stephen Fleet, the show's visual effects supervisor and associate producer, made the claim on Twitter, writing, "I think I just saw the most disgusting thing I have seen working in this business thus far."

The Boys' official Twitter account then quote-retweeted his comment, joking that Season 4 would be rated "PG" instead of the TV-MA (mature audiences) rating given to previous seasons.

Showrunner Eric Kripke has been given a lot of leeway by Amazon to push the envelope with the superhero satire, which has included everything from outright nudity and strange sex scenes to excessive gore, violence, and even a "explosive" moment in the previous season.

"We just kind of go for it," Kripke told IGN. "As long as it helps flesh out the world or has a real point in the story, [Amazon] tends to be really cool about it."

A possible premiere date for The Boys Season 4 is the second half of 2023.
